Apostolic Bible Quizzing Report

Just a few short months ago, national youth programs such as Bible Quizzing were unavailable to many non-affiliated Apostolic young people.  However, since the inception of Apostolic Bible Quizzing in January of this year, the landscape has changed dramatically.  For the first time in recent history, a National Bible Quizzing Program is available to all youth, thru the age of 18, who are Apostolic in doctrine and lifestyle.

In 2008 Apostolic Bible Quizzing held 16 Junior and Senior Regional Tournaments throughout the United States.  ABQ saw more than 75 different teams from more than 40 different churches throughout its inaugural season, which culminated in the first annual ABQ National Tournament in Tulsa, OK, August 12-15, 2008.  This year, more than 200 Apostolic children and teens from across the nation reaped the great benefits that Bible Quizzing has afforded many throughout the last four decades, and ABQ anticipates an even higher level of involvement this upcoming year.

In 2009, the book of study will be Selections from the Gospel of Luke.  Apostolic youth will take an in-depth look at the ministry of Jesus Christ, a study that will definitely impact them for years to come.   ABQ will be expanding the tournament schedule in 2009.  The goal is to have 6 Junior and Senior tournaments in each region from January thru June, culminating with the second annual ABQ National Tournament in mid-July 2009.

ABQ has many resources to offer new teams just starting out, as well as those who want to take their quiz ministries to new levels.  Information regarding the 2009 season is posted as it becomes available.  

Testimonies abound regarding the impact that Bible Quizzing has had on the young people who were privileged to be a part of its ministry, many of which are now in leadership throughout the world.  Most importantly, perhaps, are the statistics that have proven that young people who participate in Bible Quizzing for 3 or more years have at least an 80 percent greater probability of staying in church.  With many churches across America losing their young people in record numbers, ABQ is offering a ministry which can truly “beat the odds” and keep young people where they belong , a place God always intended them to be . . . in a deep love-relationship with Him.
